I have a first-aid for my pets at home, if I travel with them it goes with, whether a road trip or camping. You can buy a ready made kit like these:
You can make one of your own for your particular pets needs. When I had my dog Sam who was prone to seizures. I had a seizure ER kit as well as regular first-aid kit.
The first aid kit I have is in a travel shaving kit bag for men & it contains: 1. A digital thermometer (with sleeves) https://amzn.to/3XuYY2y dogs normal temp is 101.0-102.5 F
2. A tick remover https://amzn.to/41sEJnm
3. Alcohol wipes https://amzn.to/3Dmr09C
4. Benadryl/Dipenhydramine (25mg tablets) Used for an allergic reaction (10 mg for 10lb pet, 30 mg for a 30 lb pet etc..) https://amzn.to/3F6Ff2V
5. Gauze rolls https://amzn.to/4hakAs
6. Cohesive bandage (flexible) https://amzn.to/3XwsaWO
7. Scissors & tweezers https://amzn.to/3F6xlqt
8. Nail clippers & file https://amzn.to/41KlRBx
9. Styptic sticks or powder https://amzn.to/3F8cy5L https://amzn.to/3F8cD9
10. A thermal travel blanket https://amzn.to/3F6xMB7
A couple other things you might want to add are: a muzzle, a slip leash, latek gloves, a few sizes of bandages, any medication your pet takes or may need in an emergency.
For my birds I also have a pair of welding type gloves for my safety as well as a bath towel for grabbing the bird if necessary. I also have a net.
I hope you find this helpful & if you don’t have a pet First-aid kit that you will make one or purchase one very soon. We all hope nothing happens, but the time it takes to find & gather things that you need could be critical time wasted, so having it all together is safer.
